One of the things I like most about designing a granite countertop with slate tile backsplash, is the timeless beauty offered by incorporating such a diversified group of colors within the slate backsplash. I also love the way it reflects off the highly polished surface of the granite tops. Be careful, because some combinations of colors and textures require good lighting to make things pop.

Uba Tuba granite countertops with a multi-color slate tile backsplash is considered one of our most popular combinations. One of the good things about Uba Tuba is that it’s part of our base level selection of colors. This means that Uba Tuba is one of the most inexpensive colors of granite that you can choose from. Unlike some other inexpensive granite colors, it’s very popular and easy to work with.  Uba Tuba offers a mix of brown, gold, black and sometimes a hint of dark green can be seen too. Because Uba Tuba is one of the more consistent granite colors, it tends to work really well with all the colors that a multi-colored slate backsplash has to offer. Although it’s common to find natural slate available in 12″ x 12″ and 16″ x 16″ sizes, they can also be cut into just about any size to accommodate tile backsplash ideas.

Add Value to Your Home: Update Your Kitchen Add Granite Countertops and Tile Backsplash

Granite Countertop with tile backsplash

Adding granite countertops with a tile backsplash is a simple and affordable way to update your kitchen.

Simple updates such as new granite countertops and a tile backsplash are amongst the simplest ways to update your kitchen and add value to your home.

It really wasn’t that long ago when people would say that they didn’t want to update their home because they were planning to put it on the market. If your one of these people, you may want to see how other people are aggressively getting homes ready to put on the market or just keeping it up to date. The truth is, nobody has a magic wand and it’s always a risk. Updating your kitchen with granite countertops and a tile backsplash can be a calculated risk because potential buyers are growing to expect granite in the kitchen. For those that are going to stay for a while will have years of enjoyment while keeping the kitchen up to date and at the same time adding value. Here is a testimonial sent to me on September 3rd.

Subject: Outstanding Job Updating Our Kitchen

We would like to express our total satisfaction with the work you performed on our kitchen. As you are aware we had our house on the market for 2 and 1/2 years with no interest. We needed a “WOW” factor as expressed by our Realtor. You offered a solution in providing granite countertops and an unbelievable tile backsplash. After completion of your work our Realtor hosted a south-side Realtor open house and the comments were outstanding. We sold the house at our asking price one month from your installation and the overwhelming factor was the kitchen. You could not ask for a better endorsement than that. Your workers were very professional and the workmanship was beyond accolades that I could express.

We look forward to working with you on the new project in our new condo. Thank you Tom for everything.

Regards,

Mike and Kathy Boling
